Three women were arrested in two separate incidents by Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies last week.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24, Deputies William Morris  and Kacey Reschar went to a residence on Reid Road in eastern Scott County to serve several arrest warrants.

They were met at the residence by one of the people named in the search warrant,  Crystal Bohall-Righthouse, 44 of Lexington.

While inside the residence, deputies observed drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine laying in plain view. A field test confirmed that the substance was methamphetamine, which Righthouse told the deputies was hers.

After placing her under arrest and while transporting her to jail, Righthouse told Deputy Morris that she had additional methamphetamine concealed on her, as well as Xanax Pills, all of which were seized from her by jail deputies during the book-in process, according to Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.

In addition to the arrest warrant, Righthouse faces new charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance,

On Sunday, Aug. 28, Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy K-9 Zeus was credited with apprehending two women who had apparently broken in to a home.

A little after 9 p.m. Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Horner Road in eastern Scott County in reference to a suspicious vehicle complaint. Deputy Joshua Juliot located the vehicle behind an abandoned residence, observing that the rear door of the home was opened slightly.

Deputy Charlie Morgan and K-9 Lieutenant Zeus arrived and after Juliot and Morgan searched the residence without locating anyone inside, deputies noticed footprints leading away from the residence into a nearby woods. Deputies gave several voice commands to exit the woods, without success.

Morgan announced that K-9 Zeus was in the area, followed by Zeus barking loudly from the patrol vehicle which immediately resulted in a female hurriedly exiting the woods toward the deputies.

The woman, Suzanne R. Meyers, 43 of Commiskey, admitted she and her friend, Moria M. Grigsby, 36, of Versailles later apprehended again by K-9 Zeus announcing his presence from the patrol vehicle had been inside the dwelling.

According to Sheriff Goodin, once K-9 Lieutenant Zeus was satisfied the scene was safe, he took a nap while deputies Morgan and Juliot transported the women to Scott County Jail,

Meyers was charged with residential entry, possession of marijuana, criminal trespass, possession of paraphernalia, and driving while suspended with a prior conviction.

Grigsby was arrested for criminal trespass and residential entry.
