Dollar General Stores is hoping to build a retail outlet in the 3700 block of E. State Road 256 near the entrance to Hardy Lake east of Austin.
According to legal notices in this week’s Crothersville Times, Tom Cowen / Scottsburg BTS Retail LLC has filed an application to re-zone 2.145 acres of a 21.883 acre parcel owned by George and J. Sue Lucas from Agriculture to B-2 General Business. Also filed is an application to vary from the front setback to 102’ from the zoning standard 120’ from the center line of SR 256.
A public hearing on the matter before the Scott County Advisory Plan Commission will be held in the county courthouse at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
