A traffic stop by Seymour Police led to the arrest of two men on drug charges last Wednesday, April 1. SPD officers made the stop at 6:19 at the corner of 9th & Elm Streets.

Jerry Blythe Jr., 59, of Crothersville was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of justice while Benjamin T. Kerkhof, 43, of Seymour, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men have prior convictions on drug charges.

During a search of the vehicle, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.

Both Blythe and Kerkhof were incarcerated in Jackson County Jail.
