Amber Crystal Dawn Prosser, 34, of Scottsburg was sentenced last Thursday to three years in prison for dealing heroin and an additional two years in prison for violating her probation by dealing drugs while under the court ordered supervision, according to Scott County Prosecutor Chris Owens.
In June 2020, officers with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office conducted a controlled buy of approximately 0.3 grams of heroin from Prosser through the use of a confidential informant, Owens said. At the time of committing this offense, Prosser was on probation for a different offense.
“This is just one example of many that shows the dedication of our office to work with the Sheriff’s Office and other police agencies in our community to take illegal drugs and drug dealers off our streets,” said Owens.
I would like to thank the Scott County Sheriff’s Office for their work that led to these charges and convictions. Deputy Prosecutor Mark Kiesler handled the case for the prosecutor’s office.
