Three Scott County residents were arrested in two separate incidents last week on a variety of drug charges, according to Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.
On Friday, Oct. 21, Scott County Sheriff Deputies Skylar Thompson and Adam Bomar were assisting Scott County Community Corrections Officials with a probation check at a residence on Slateford Road in southeastern Scott County.
During the safety check, Christopher Davis, 36, of Lexington, and Ella Wray, 57, of Scottsburg, were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance
Both Davis and Wray were incarcerated in Scott County Jail around 11 a.m. Friday.
Earlier in the week on Wednesday, Oct. 19, Scott County Deputies assisted Jackson County Probation Officials at a residence on West Strouse Road in southwestern Scott County.
Jackson County Probation Officer Jayla Riley and Scott County Deputies Johnney Coomer, Andy Brown and William Morris arrived at the residence and during the probation check a quantity of drugs were observed.
Deputy Coomer subsequently placed Andrew Blackburn McKee, 63, of Scottsburg under arrest for dealing methamphetamine (over 19 grams), possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana (approximately 4 pounds), maintaining a common nuisance, receiving stolen property and possession of a stolen motorcycle.
Goodin said other occupants of the residence were identified during the search and additional arrests may be made in the future after consulting with the Scott County Prosecutors Office.
McKee was incarcerated in Scott County Jail around 9:30 p.m.
“We are committed to the promise I made to the citizens of Scott County when elected Sheriff…drug dealers are public enemy #1 under my administration,” said Goodin.
