Area residents, weary of the COVID shutdown in 2020 came out in droves to enjoy Jackson County’s first festival of the season in Crothersville.
“The crowds were HUGE each day,” said festival director Erica Gorbett. “They really came out in big numbers to enjoy the weather, the music, the food, everything. You could just sense that they were ready to get out and be with people.”
“All of our parking lots and street parking were filled and they were parking 4 and 5 blocks away to walk to the festival,” said RWB organizer Chester Jones.
Gorbett said early bracelet sales for the carnival sold out and some vendors ran out of food and had to get resupplied.
“The weather was beautiful,” she said. “We had some rain but it didn’t rain on any events. People really enjoyed themselves.
