Six people were arrested when Deputies from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant last Friday morning, Nov. 5, around 9:30 a.m. at 825 Mann Avenue in Austin. Deputies began an investigation responding to complaints about the residence.
Detective John Hartman completed the investigation and obtained the search warrant through the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office, according to Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.
During the search of the residence, deputies located methamphetamine, heroin, controlled substances (pills), and drug paraphernalia.
The division of Family and Children were called in after two children, ages one and three were found in the home living in what was considered by deputies as dangerous conditions, Goodin reported.
Arrested and booked into the Scott County Jail were:
Ashley Baker, 27 of Austin, for neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ambrosa Burton, 28 of Austin, was charged with neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of controlled substance, possession of syringe, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a legend drug.
Gordon Burton, 38 of Austin was charged with neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine possession of heroin, possession of controlled substance, possession of syringe, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of marijuana, possession of legend drug and possession of paraphernalia.
Earl Estep, 31 of Austin, was charged with neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a syringe.
Fannie Newsome, 46 of Austin, was arrested for neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug and possession of paraphernalia.
Mitchell Sizemore, 54 of Austin was charged with neglect of a dependent, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
