Incumbent Republican Lyndi Hughbanks has withdrawn from the Scott County Primary, according to Scott County Clerk Michelle Shelton.
Hughbanks, who was serving as the council president, withdrew her election bid, the clerk reported on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Hughbanks was an at-large candidate. Her withdrawal leaves a field of five Republican seeking the three GOP council seats: Justin Cheatham, John W. Hardin, James Richey, Brad Stotts and Deborah Stroud-Hubbard, None of the GOP candidates are incumbents.
Six Democrats are seeking the three at-large county council posts: Jim Boswell, Shane Deaton, Keith Henderson, John C. Lizenby, Brandon L. Stagnolia, and Teresa Baker Vannarsdall,
