The Crothersville Elementary 3rd Grade Music Department has been busy ‘Springing’ into Music. They have worked hard at designing and making instruments from home and bringing them in to share their experience, as well as have a little friendly competition between classes and classmates.
Carolyn ‘Grandma’ Weddle challenged her 3rd-grade classes to use what resources they had and make a musical instrument at home and bring it in to share. She is overjoyed with how well the kids excelled in this opportunity of learning about various instruments.
“We do our best to encourage and challenge everyone’s creative hearts, no matter what is happening in the world. I just love each child, and we really want to do our best with every moment we have here, and I really enjoy finding ways to bring fun in learning even more in my music class,” she said.
Congratulations to all of the winners of this challenge, as every student received a Root Beer Float for participating and our top winners were awarded with a trophy as well. This year’s winners are Alivia Helblig & Emilee Gaffney from Alee Bowman’s Class and Macey Stuckwisch’s students were Kayleigh Engle & Bryce Hamblen.
“No matter what day or time of the week, there’s always room for a little music to made,” said Grandma Weddle.
