A Scott County Probation check landed two Crothersville residents in jail for drugs late last month.
Crothersville Police officer Zach Elliott reported that he was contacted by Scott County Probation for assistance with a home visit with Rachel Cook and Wesley Hall at an apartment complex on Pennsylvania Ave.


Elliott reported that when the local departments arrived they could hear people inside the apartment but no one came to the door. After several attempts, Wesley Aaron Hall, 37, came out followed shortly by Rachel Dawn Cook, 40.
According to the officer Scott Probation Officers located a glass bong a glass pipe with a rubber hose, and a glass pipe with an burnt off-white rocklike substance in the trash can. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the court probable cause affidavit.
Authorities also located a digital scale, baggies and a pipe with some burned marijuana, along with prescription bottles label for neither of the apartment residents, and a jar of unprocessed ginseng.
A check with Indiana Conservation officer Rob Klacamp confirmed that the possession of the woodland plant was out of season, Elliott reported.
Officers also located a marijuana grinder and 2.7 grams of marijuana.
Cook and Hall were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug, and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, possession of ginseng out of season, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were booked into Jackson County Jail shortly afternoon on Thursday, July 24. Scott County Probation reported they would file petition to revoke the couple’s probation in their county, according to the court document.
Cook was released from jail at 12:43 p.m. on July 29 after posting a $1,505 bond. Hall was released from Jail on July 31 after posting a $1,505 bond.
