Two area state roads will be closed later this month for drainway repairs. E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 56 over Goose Creek this week to complete a bridge deck overlay project in Washington County.
The closure will take place between South Dog Trot Road and South Mill Creek Road west of Salem.
Following this closure, an additional closure will take place on S.R. 56 over Mill Creek, also located between South Dog Trot Road and South Mill Creek Road.
Following both closures, S.R. 56 is expected to reopen in early August, weather permitting.
This work is part of a $3 million contract awarded to E&B in September 2024.
Force Construction Company is scheduled to close State Road 11 (Walnut Street) just south of U.S. 50 in Seymour on or after Monday, June 30, to complete a box culvert replacement project.
The closure will take place between North Park Drive and South Park Drive at Gaiser Park. S.R. 11 is expected to reopen in mid-August.
This project is part of a $1.3 million contract awarded to Force Construction in September 2024. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
