Blaize Sebastian (left) and Jason Hillenburg, workers for S&L Electric, Heating & Cooling in Austin, were busy last Tuesday testing the electronics of a newly installed weather alert siren for Crothersville.
The new siren is about 12-feet taller than the old one which should extend the range for the severe weather notification device.
A manual test of the new unit worked fine, according to Hillenburg, who is also on the town council and volunteer fire department.
