The City of Austin will be enforcing dilapidated fences/privacy fences that are in need of repair or replacement, according to an announcement from Mayor Roger Hawkins; office.
Anyone who prefers to reference information regarding fences and their maintenance can visit the city’s Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 152 at www.cityofaustin.in.gov.
All violations will be addressed by the city’s Ordinance Violation Officer, Tyler Petersen, who can be reached in the Mayor’s Office at 812-794-6646 Option 1.
“In continuing to make our city look its best, the proper maintenance and upkeep of fences must be addressed,” said Hawkins. “It’s been observed we have several that need immediate attention. Cooperation is greatly appreciated in this matter as we strive to keep moving the city in the right direction.”
