The Austin City Council passed the closing of a portion of 6th Street and a section of an alley for construction of a Dollar Tree on the west side of the city when they met on May 9.
Michael Delaney, DPG Single Tenant Indiana LLC manager, told the council that the new Dollar Tree was to be started in October of this year and completed by February 2024.
“I think [the Dollar Tree] will benefit the city,” said Delaney, he added that they were ready to go on work and for pleased the opportunity to work the project in Austin.
The council approved unanimously on the first and second readings adding that the project had to be completed in two years with a property transfer.
