Mackenzie Long (second from right) of Crothersville Jr./Sr. High School was the Lion’s Club District winner of the Peace Poster Contest. Her artwork excelled above approximately forty other club poster winners. She will now compete in the Indiana state Lion’s Club Peace Poster Contest.
Middle school students were to develop a graphic of their idea of the necessity and advantage of living in a peaceful world. Once the poster was developed, a one paragraph essay was developed to document what peace meant to them. Award winners were presented certificates and monetary awards.
Crothersville winners in the Peace Poster Contest, sponsored by the Lion’s Club International are Jacoby Gillis, 3rd place; Trisha Muncy, 2nd place and 1st place winner MacKenzie Long.
