Schneck physician practices including Primary Care, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Well Life, are now administering COVID-19 vaccine third doses for their established patients with weakened immune systems. The Food and Drug Administration has ruled that individuals who are immunocompromised can get a third dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. However, the decision offers an extra dose only to those high-risk groups – not the general public.
These practices will be offering Pfizer doses, and can assist patients wishing to receive a third Moderna dose in finding a participating location.
Established patients at these Schneck physician practices should schedule an appointment with their doctor’s office to get the third dose.
In addition, all individuals with weakened immune systems who qualify for a third dose may go to any participating vaccine site such as the health department or retail pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart. Appointments at one of these locations can be scheduled at OurShot.in.gov or by calling the pharmacies directly.
Those who want the third dose will be required to attest to their eligibility. If you are eligible, bring your vaccination record to your appointment.
