An estimated 1,300 ghouls and goblins and their families too part in the Halloween celebration around the Scottsburg Squar, October 31. It was estimated that there was nearly10 miles of candy, laid end to end, given out, according to Mike Chesser of the Scott County Visitors Commission,
This year’s winner for the best Halloween decorated Business Windows were:
1st Place and $125: 82 East McClain Avenue – building owner Kevin Smallwood.
2nd Place and $100: 54 East McClain Avenue – CASA of Scott County.
3rd Place and $75: 4 South Main Street – Java Station.
Winners for the Trunk-or-Treat Decorating Contest were:
1st Place and $75: Aisin Drivetrain of Crothersville.
2nd Place and $50: Houston, Thompson, and Lewis Attorneys at Law.
3rd Place and $25: Cloud of Witness Ranch, an Equine Assisted Living Services Center.
