The City of Scottsburg Water Department will conduct hydrant flushing from May 18-21, beginning each day at 11 a.m. and continuing into the evening, typically concluding by 8–9 p.m.
During this time, customers may experience temporary water discoloration or slight changes in water pressure. Residents are advised to avoid washing clothes while flushing is underway to prevent potential staining. If water discoloration occurs, running cold water for a few minutes should help clear the lines.
