U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly paid a visit to Crothersville High School on Monday, Oct. 12. Speaking to the junior and senior classes, he talked about national and international issues which congress faces and how they impact the students lives now and into the future.
“To the best of my recollection, this was the first visit to Crothersville High School by a sitting United States Senator,” said CHS Principal David Schill. “I was honored and the students felt honored to have a high ranking elected official take time to come to Crothersville to talk with them.”
After talking about 20 minutes, the South Bend Democrat serving in his first term fielded questions from students.
“I was impressed with how well informed Crothersville students are on current matters before congress,” Donnelly later said of the students’ questions.
