Two Crothersville manufacturers were to be on hand at Tuesday night’s Crothersville Town Council meeting to announce expansions and seek tax abatements related to those expansions.
Marmon Retail Products, the parent company of Cerro Wire in the Crothersville industrial park, announced an expansion totaling $1,749,940 in investment in building, manufacturing and IT equipment.
The company intends to expand its electrical wire and cable business to begin manufacturing electrical PVC conduit, elbows and fittings, according to Jim Plump, Executive Director of Jackson County Industrial Development Corporation.
Cerro’s expansion will add another 16 jobs to the local employment roles.
Aisin Chemical Indiana, LLC, which is in the midst of a 100,000 square foot building expansion, announced they would be adding an additional manufacturing line to produce industrial adhesives.
ACIN will be investing $1.3 million in manufacturing equipment which will be housed factory under construction, according to Plump. The new line will add three more jobs to ACIN’s current 62 workers.
In all, the announcements represent 19 new jobs for Crothersville with total investments of $3,049,940, Plump said.
