Trumpeter Swans
The March snow melt followed by heavy rains caused driving inconvenience fort some motorists as rising water closed several county and state roads. But the receding water also provided a rest stop and food supply for migrating birds.
Here, in a flooded field off State Road 250 west of Uniontown, Trumpeter Swans meander about while in the background scores of Sandhill Cranes glean the muddy field for food.
