On Saturday, March 26, Scott County Deputy Zachary Brown stopped a black passenger car in Scottsburg for several traffic violations that resulted in the arrest of the three occupants.
The officer advised as he approached the vehicle, he detected the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. After an investigation at the scene by Deputy Brown and Deputy William Morris, the driver of the vehicle, Daniel Goetzinger, 34, of Scottsburg and the passengers Chatana McCreary, 33, of Scottsburg and Eric Scott Long, 40, of Deputy were placed under arrest for multiple drug violations.
Daniel Goetzinger was charged with possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.
Chatana McCreary was charged with possession of methamphetamine, visiting a common nuisance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a narcotic drug, and possession of marijuana over 28 grams.
Eric Scott Long was charged with possession of marijuana and visiting a common nuisance.
All were incarcerated in Scott county Jail.
