The town of Crothersville water utility workers will be flushing fire hydrants on Thursday, Aug. 1. The flushing will begin at 8 a.m. and is planned to conclude by 3 p.m.
The hydrant flushing removes rust and sediment from the utility water mains.
Residents should not do laundry otherwise staining of clothes could occur, utility officials said. Water clarity should be clear by Friday morning, it was said.
