Scott County Sheriff’s deputies made a number of arrests on a variety of charges last week.
On Friday, March 15, deputies responded to a call of threats being made. Upon arrival Lester D. Casey, 61 of Scottsburg was arrested for intimidation, and battery on a police officer.
Also on Friday officers responded to a residence on Blunt Avenue in Austin. After talking with the residents of the home, Barry L. Fox, 34, of Austin charged with possession of a syringe and Nyle N. Collins II, 29 of Austin was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a syringe. Deputies were assisted by Austin Police Department officers.
Deputies stayed busy on Friday, March 15; information from the Austin Police Department and Indiana State Police that led to a traffic stop in Austin. During the stop Mark J. Spicer Jr., 40 of Austin, Arlie Campbell Jr., 52 of Austin and Joseph E. Dowling, 46 of Austin were arrested on drug related charges.
Spicer was charged with possession of syringe, possession of narcotic drug, identity deception, and visiting common nuisance. Campbell was charged with possession of narcotic drug, possession of syringe, and maintaining common nuisance. Dowling faces charges of visiting common nuisance, possession of syringe, possession of narcotic drug.
On Saturday, March 16, deputies responded to an address in Lexington where Andrew J. Hardin, 31, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
On Sunday, March 17, a Scott County Deputy responded to an address in Scottsburg where Andrea R. Moore, 42, of Scottsburg was arrested on and outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. She was also charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, and trafficking with an inmate..
