Over the last week, seven more people have been arrested by troopers, other officers, or turned themselves in on unrelated drug charges, according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Jerry Goodin. The drug charges stem from an Indiana State Police Undercover Operation and a continuing arrest warrant roundup.
“All of this activity stems from the continuing criminal detail in and around the City of Austin,,” said Goodin “To date there have been a total of 71 people arrested. Of those arrests, 41 people have been arrested on drug charges and 27 from outstanding arrest warrants.”
There have also been two illegal gambling arrests and a sexual offender arrest since the crime crackdown began late in December 2007, he said
