The Crothersville Senior Citizen Center will hold their annual fall breakfast this Saturday, Sept. 27 from 6 to 9 a.m. The menu consists of sausage, eggs, biscuits/gravy, pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee cakes, coffee, tea, juice & milk. Free will donations will be gratefully accepted.
Following the breakfast at 9:30 AM, an auction will be held. Quilts, home decor, home baked items, home canned jellies, pickles, items and services donated by local businesses and professionals, such as a gift certificate from Dr. Linda Fischer & Associates in Seymour valued at over $300, oil changes, hair cuts, etc. Items are still coming in.
The Crothersville Seniors have been raising funds to meet a challenge issued by Site Director, Sue Walther. If they reach their goal of $5,000 by the end of October they will have the privilege of shaving Sue’s head!
The Seniors are hoping that the breakfast and auction will put them over the top. Half of all funds donated to this fund raiser will be designated to purchase fuel for the Center’s bus, and the remaining funds will support other programs of the Senior Center.
The Crothersville Senior Citizens Center is located at 114 E Main.
