On Saturday, Sept. 11, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 20 Vintage Circle in Scottsburg after Detective Lieutenant John Hartman was able to gather enough probable cause to enter the residence looking for drug dealing related items. Three people who lived in the home were arrested,
“After the search warrant and arrests the investigation did not stop.” Said Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin. “While processing evidence from the search warrant we were able to locate information involving an overdose overdoses in Scott County, one resulting in death.”
Det. Hartman’s investigation was turned over to the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office who then filed additional charges against Matthew Palmer, 28, of 20 Vintage Circle in Scottsburg, for Dealing in a Narcotic Drug Causing Death and Dealing in a Narcotic Drug.
Palmer is currently incarcerated at the Scott County Jail for dealing a narcotic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance
