A Scottsburg man was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 5, by Williamsburg (KY) Police
At 1:34 a.m., a 2010 gray Toyota passenger car was stopped for traffic violations, on Highway 25-W near the Budget Inn Motel by WPD officer Dorman Patrick Jr. The driver of the vehicle, David H. Barrett, 46, of Scottsburg was determined to be under the influence and had a warrant for his arrest.
During a search of the vehicle, officers Patrick, Sgt. Elijah Hunter and K-9 Thor found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Barrett was arrested and incarcerated in the Whitley County Detention Center charged with possession of methamphetamine, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, careless driving, and failure to produce insurance card.
