Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies continued their assault on crime arresting eight on a variety of charges.
On Saturday, Nov. 20, Deputy Zachary Brown arrested Megan Sloan, 32 of Austin for public intoxication, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a syringe and visiting a common nuisance.
That same day, Deputy Zachary Brown arrested Todd Deaton, 35 of Austin, on a variety of drug charges including dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting law enforcement, battery on a police officer, possession of narcotic drug, (two counts), possession of a syringe , possession of a legend drug, disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substance, battery with bodily injury and public intoxication.
On Sunday, Nov. 21, Deputy Johnney Coomer arrested Barnus Combs, 51 of Austin for visiting a common nuisance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
On Monday, Nov. 22, Lieutenant John Hartman and Deputy Josh Hammond went to an address on State Road 362 in Nabb looking to serve a Scott County arrest warrant on Bradley Clegg for dealing in methamphetamine.
When officers knocked on the door Clegg answered and while taking Clegg into custody methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were seen in plain sight, according to Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.
A search of the residence yielded more methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Also located in the home was Keri Fortney, 30 of Lexington, Clegg’s reported girlfriend, she was also taken into custody, charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Bradley Clegg, 40 of Lexington, was arrested on a original warrant for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Clegg now faces additional charges including maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Later that evening Lieutenant John Hartman and Deputies Eric Balingit and Josh Hammond went to a residence on Concord Road in Lexington ro serve an Scott County arrest warrant on Robert Siewert, 55 of Nabb for dealing in methamphetamine, (3 counts), possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
While authorities were at the residence, Siewert pulled up in a vehicle. While officers took him into custody, they noticed a female attempting to hide in the floorboard of the vehicle.
Jennifer R. Clark, 38 of Nabb, was wanted on an Washington County warrant for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and visiting a common nuisance.
As deputies removed her from the vehicle, they discovered drugs and drug related items, Sheriff Goodin reported.
In addition to the original warrant, Clark faces Scott County charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, false informing, possession of a legend drug, possession of controlled substances.
In addition to the Scott County warrant Siewert faces new charges of maintaining a common nuisance.
On Tuesday, Nov. 23, Deputy Josh Hammond arrested Corey Smith, 28 of English for possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and driving while suspended, with a prior conviction.
All were incarceerated in Scott County Jail
