Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies remained busy last week arresting 11 on a variety of drug related charges.
On Thursday, Oct. 7, at 11:40 am, Scott County Jail Transport Officer Russell Combs arrested Jeremy Howard, 37, Hanover on a court warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
At 9:57 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, Deputy Zach Brown arrested Roy McCowan, 49, of Scottsburg for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
On Monday, Oct. 11, at 6:44 p.m., Deputy Kacey Reschar arrested Ellis Chambers, 57, of Salem on a Scott County warrant for possession of methamphetamine.
Around 1:18 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, following a traffic stop, Deputy Kacey Reschar arrested Brandon Bowman, 28, of Scottsburg, for possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and driving without a license.
A passenger in Bowman’s vehicle, Serena Booth, 25, of New Albany was charged with possession of methamphetamine, visiting common nuisance, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
On Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 12:44 a.m., Deputy William Morris arrested Kaden May, 19, of Lexington for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining common nuisance.
Around 8:30 a.m. last Wednesday, Deputies from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 120 Dana Avenue on Austin’s northside.
“The search warrant was received after an investigation by Lieutenant John Hartman and a review from the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office,” said Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin.
After the search, Hartman arrested Jesse Eversole, 44, of Austin, for possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.
A vehicle that had been at the residence was later found by Deputy Hartman shortly after 9 a.m. that morning.
Hartman arrested one of the occupants, Trenton Bowling, 19, of Austin for maintaining common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine and possession of controlled substance.
A second occupant, Gregory Pelston, 45, of Austin, was charged with maintaining common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, possession of syringe, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance.
That same morning around 10:29 a.m., Deputy Shawn Mayer arrested Alan Craig, 62, of Lexington for possession of a controlled substance and visiting a common nuisance.
And at 10:33 a.m. last Wednesday, Deputy Skylar Thompson arrested Joseph Creech, 43, of Harrison County, for possession of controlled substance and maintaining common nuisance.
All were incarcerated in Scott County Jail.
