Miss Scott County Fair Queen Pageant is Sunday, June 21 with the Little Miss and Master starting at 5:30, teens following, and the Queens at 7 p.m.
The deadline to enter the Little Miss and Master and Teens is June 3; Littles are at 5:30 and Teens at 6:00for entry form and fee at the Scott County courthouse lawn around the gazebo.
The forms are located on the Scott County Fair Queen Updates Facebook page. Forms would need to be printed and brought with them the night of the deadline along with the entry fee.
Contestant must be a resident of Scott County to participate. Little Miss and Master ages are 4-7, teens 13-16.
During the night of the contest contestants for both Littles and Teens need to be an appropriate outfit, no formal wear for the teens. They’d need to wear clothes such as sundresses, rompers, pant suit, nice pants and top.
The deadline for the Queens is Thursday, June 4 at 6:00, at the courthouse gazebo.
The Queen’s forms is an online form they must complete by 6:00 that night. The link can be found on the same Facebook page. They’d just click the link and follow the instructions. Entry fee is turned in June 4 at 6:00.
Ages for queen is 18-21, as of January 1, 2027. 17-year-olds may participate if they turn 18 by Jan. 1, 2027.
The competition includes a dance (we practice the week before June 21), outfit of choice (showcasing involvement in school organizations, 4-H, FFA, athletics, or future career goals). Business wear, and formal wear.
The queens do participate in the fair parade between interviews and pageant. The contestants may carry flowers, but no roses are allowed, they are reserved for the reigning queen.
Each contestant is responsible for their own transportation in the parade.
