The first day of classes for the 2008-2009 school year is less than a month away and Crothersville Community Schools officials have announced following pre-registration enrollment information.
Enrollment for students in grade K through 12 new to the school district will be Thursday, July 31, from 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. Parents registering new students must bring birth certificates, immunization records, social security numbers, and the name and address of their former school if applicable.
Registration for returning students will be as follows:
Last name A-L – Tuesday, July 29, 9-11 a.m., 1-3 p.m., and 6-8 p.m.
Last Name M-Z – Wednesday, July 30, 9-11 a.m., 1-3 p.m., and 6-8 p.m.
Classes begin at Crothersville on Tuesday, Aug. 5.
In order to have your child/children officially enrolled at Crothersville Community Schools and to avoid long delays and lessen confusion on the first school day, both the Elementary and Jr.-Sr. High Schools are requiring all parents/guardians to make arrangements to attend the pre-registration enrollment sessions.
Do not sent your child alone; you must accompany your child/children to the registration. This time is set aside to handle the required enrollment processes; pay textbook rental, deposit money in your child’s lunch account, fill out “Lunch and Textbook Assistance” Form (if applicable), and complete all other required registration forms.
Please be reminded that the school musy have address and job information as well as phone numbers of persons who can be reached during the day should your child become sick or injured. Jr.-Sr. High School students will receive a copy of their class “book rental” charges for the 2008/2009 school year, get their locker assignments, also purchase their required student planner and parking permit. School officials will also be available to answer any additional questions, and assist you in filling out the required forms.
Bus routes will remain the same: Julia Doyle #5, Buster Erwin #4, Shelley Erwin #2, Greg Hoevener #1, Harold Hoevener #6, and Lynn Howard #3, student meal prices will be $2.00 for lunch and $1.00 for breakfast, Jr.-Sr. High book rental fees are based on each student’s class schedule and Elementary book rental fees are as follows:
Kindergarten-$66.00; 1st Grade-$84.00; 2nd Grade-$82.00; 3rd Grade-$82.00; 4th Grade-$82.00; 5th Grade-$82.00.
Parents, come prepared to pay Book Rental Fees at this time for both Elementary and Jr.-Sr. High students!
All registrations will be held in the office of the principals.
