A 20-year-old rural Austin man was arrested last Tuesday, Apr. 22, on charges of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Indiana State Police Detective David Mitchell arrested Steven A. White at his Terry Road residence without incident and incarcerated him at the Scott County Jail.
On Tuesday, March 20, Det. Mitchell was assigned to assist the Scott County Sheriff’s Department with a case of a 20-year-old male who was allegedly involved in sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old in Scott County.
During the investigation, Mitchell found out that White had allegedly been sneaking into the Scott County home of a fifteen year old during the night and engaging in sexually related activities.
The Scott County Prosecutor’s office filed 6 counts of sexual misconduct with a minor against White in Scott County Circuit Court.
The Scott County Department of Child Services, (DCS), assisted in the investigation.
