While the leaves of Southern Indiana trees are beginning to change into
their autumn wardrobe, the red seed and still green leaves of this dogwood
makes for a more Christmas feel.
This time of year is unique in that in the fall dogwoods produce seeds for
future generations while at the same time exhibit buds for next spring’s
blossoms which much endure winter temperatures.
