Jackson County Treasurer Maria Fisher reminds taxpayers that the Fall installment of this year’s property taxes are due Monday Nov. 10, 2014
Payments made in the treasurer’s office must be in the form of cash, check, money order, or cashier’s check.
Taxpayers can also pay at any of The Peoples Bank branches or at State Bank of Medora with their tax statement. Payments are accepted online at www.jackson-tax.net or by calling (800) 809-584 there is a 2.95% processing fee.
Payments postmarked or made in person after November 10 will automatically incur a penalty.
Fisher said questions regarding property assessment should be directed to the Assessor’s Office at 812-358-6111; regarding your tax rate, exemptions or deductions to the Auditor’s Office at 812-358-6122 or questions on tax payment to the Treasurer’s Office at 812-358-6125.
