Jackson County Treasurer Cathy Hohenstreiter said this week that property tax bills for Jackson County will be in the mail on or before this Friday, October 23.
“Tax bills and comparison statements are being printed by Worrell Printing Service out of Indianapolis—a division of our tax software—Manatron,” said Hohenstreiter. “There will be one tax coupon for the entire 08 pay 09 tax year due by December 31, 2009.”
Payment for taxes may be paid or mailed to the Treasurer’s office, paid at The Peoples Bank, State Bank of Medora or online atwww.jackson-tax.net.
“Partial payments can only be paid or mailed to the Treasurer’s office; payments made at the banks must be paid in full accompanied by the entire tax payment coupon sheet,” the treasurer said.
When a taxpayer receives a tax bill saying “Do Not Pay” that bill has been sent to their escrow account and is for their information only, she said.
