Jackson County property owners will be receiving property tax statements this week, according to county treasurer Maria Fisher. “Property tax bills were to be dropped in the mail this past Monday, so taxpayers should be getting their bill sometime this week.
Fisher said the spring installment is due by Monday, May 12. “Usually spring tax payments are due by May 10 but with that date being on a Saturday we extended the deadline to Monday,” she said.
The treasurer’s office in the courthouse in Brownstown is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Residents who prefer can make their property tax payments at any branch of The Peoples Bank in Crothersville, Brownstown or Seymour or State Bank of Medora in Medora.
