A Scott County brother and sister were arrested on drug charges last Thursday, July 10, when Indiana State Police with assistance of U.S. Postal Inspectors, Federal Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Agents and officers from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and Salem City Police Department combined forces in the investigation.
Robert E. Lee, 38, of Scottsburg and his sister, Angela Lee, 35, were charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation began when a tip was given to ISP detectives of a large amount of methamphetamine being delivered to Scott County.
Officers from the various agencies set up surveillance at a residence located on State Road 56 east of Scottsburg.
Shortly after midnight, officers questioned a female at that residence identified as Angela Lee,, from Bellevue Avenue in Scottsburg. When they made contact with her they recovered over a pound of methamphetamine.
The investigation continued at Lee’s residence where officer’s confronted Angela Lee’s brother, Robert E. Lee, and seized over $9,000 in cash and methamphetamine.
Both were incarcerated at the Scott County Jail.
