A former Crothersville man was charged with parole violation and drug charges on Monday evening, May 17.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy Zack Elliott observed a suspicious vehicle in the 6000 block of S 1150 E. Elliott knew the vehicle didn’t belong in the area and got out to investigate the truck that was parked on a private driveway on the dead-end road.
Elliott reported that when the occupant of the truck saw the deputy approach, he got out of his vehicle and began looking in a tool box.
Elliott identified the man as Jordan Hensley, 35, of New Albany, formerly of Crothersville.
Through his investigation, Elliott learned that Hensley had a warrant for a parole violation. After placing Hensley in custody, he searched the truck and discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Hensley was incarcerated in Jackson County Jail and faces new charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in Jail on a $2,005 bond.
