Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to begin a bridge deck overlay project on State Road 56 over Honey Run this week in Scottsburg.
Work will take place just west of I-65 between the I-65 interchange and South Lake Road and will be completed in two phases. Drivers can expect the following traffic restrictions on S.R. 56 during Phase 1:
•The right lanes of eastbound and westbound S.R. 56 will be closed. The inside lanes of eastbound and westbound S.R. 56 will remain open.
•Intermittent flagging operations
Overall work is expected to be complete in late June, weather permitting.
This work is part of a $1.8 million contract awarded to E&B in July 2024.
State Road 56 is already closed for bridge work east of Scottsburg between SR203/Goshen Road and State Road 3.
