On Saturday, July 13, Scott County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Baker went to a residence on Terry Road in rural Scott County in response to a drug complaint. After an investigation at the residence, Russell Terry, 37, of Austin, was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance. Austin City Police Department assisted in the investigation.
On Monday, July 15, Deputies Johnney Coomer and Skylar Thompson made a traffic stop in Austin which led to the arrest of Jeremiah Hardin, 39, of Austin for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a syringe and visiting a common nuisance.
That same day in Austin, Deputies Coomer and Thompson made another traffic stop which resulted in Tyson Eversole, 18, of Austin being arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession or use of a legend drug and visiting a common nuisance.
Also on Tuesday, Deputy Josh Watterson responded to a traffic accident on Turley Road east of Scottsburg. Upon arrival, Deputy Watterson made contact with driver of the vehicle, Heather Robinson, 36, of New Albany.
As the deputy spoke with Robinson who said she had been using methamphetamine, heroin, and crack (cocaine). Further investigation revealed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle in addition to a small plastic bag with a white crystal like substance, which field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Robinson was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs; possession of paraphernalia; possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
On Thursday, July 18, Deputy Johnney Coomer and Skylar Thompson made a traffic stop in the Lexington area. During the investigation two people were arrested on drug related charges.
J. M. McIntosh, 62, of Commiskey, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of a handgun without a license, possession of a firearm with altered serial numbers, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.
Sondra Fox, 43, of Austin was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a syringe, legend drug act, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
All arrested were incarcerated in Scott County Jail.
