Two more Republican candidates have added their names to those seeking election to the Crothersville Town Council.
Incumbent GOP councilman Ardell Mitchell on Friday filed his candidacy declaration with the Jackson County Clerk.
On Monday, Danietta Gullett Foster filed her candidacy declaration as a Republican seeking election to the local town council.
They join GOP council candidate Derrick Minton and clerk-treasurer candidate Michele Teipen to fill the slate of candidates for the Republicans.
Democrats already have a full slate of candidates with incumbent councilwoman Karen Mains seeking re-election and political first-timers Lenvel “Butch” Robinson and Rex Robinson (no relation) to town council and incumbent Democrat clerk-treasurer NaLona Bush seeking re-election.
The deadline for filing candidacy declarations is noon on Friday, August 1.
