Scott County Purdue Extension Educator for Ag & Natural Resources, Tom Springstun, recently announced the Gardener of the Year winner for the 2025 Scott County Fair.
The 2025 Scott County Fair was June 22-28, and the Scott County Master Gardeners oversaw the Open Class Horticulture Exhibit Building where numerous exhibits were received for Ag, Garden, and Floral Culture. The Scott County Gardener of the Year Award is based on number of entries by one person and is sponsored by the local Master Gardener Club.
The first-place winner this year was Missy Callaway of Scottsburg, Springstun announced.
Her name will also be engraved on a plaque that has all the past winners’ names and will be displayed in the Scott County Open Class Horticulture Building.
