Bill Seal calls for more rock from Jerry Anthony operating the backhoe as the pair install a culvert along Moore Street at Central Avenue last week. The local contractors have been at work blocking pipes where surface water was getting into the town’s sanitary sewer system as well as replacing a culvert and repairing a manhole.
The work is a part of the town’s effort to reduce surface water getting to the sewer plant and causing causing overflows during heavy rains.
Anthony & Seal’s work is centered on Moore Street between East Street and Preston.
