Mayberry Comes to Scottsburg is hosting a meet & greet and book talk this Saturday, Feb. 10, with Randy Turner an author and historian of “The Andy Griffith Show”.
Mayberry Comes to Scottsburg is a festival centered around the American Comedy TV Series “The Andy Griffith Show”.
Turner is the author of a series of books—“60 Years of Mayberry: A Celebration of The Andy Griffith Show”, “The Mayberry Travel Guide” and “Mayberry Firsts: A Compendium of Historical Essays on the Classic Television Series”
Turner will have a meet and greet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday followed by a presentation of the 40-acre backlot stage where the town of Mayberry and “The Andy Griffith Show” was filmed. Both events are being held at the Mid America Science Park at 821 S Lake Road.
The meet and greet has an entrance fee of $40 while the presentation is free to the public. The funds raised from the meet and greet will contribute to the Mayberry Festival which is being held on June 21-23.
