Minnie Davidson of Crothersville collects her Lottery winnings last Friday.
Minnie Davidson of Crothersville was out of sweetner for her coffee last Thursday morning. Instead of taking her coffee with her to work, she stopped at Mac’s #2233 at 416 Stevens Way in Seymour to buy a cup of coffee. While in the store, Davidson also purchased a Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off ticket that turned out to be worth $100,000.
After scratching her ticket on her lunch break, Davidson managed to work the rest of the afternoon without telling her co-workers of her good fortune.
She and her husband, Herman, claimed her prize Friday afternoon at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis. The Jackson county residents both work at the Toyota Industrial Equipment plant in Columbus.
“Work’s been slow. This couldn’t come at a better time,” said Davidson.
Davidson says both she and her husband are going to a four-day work week starting in April, so this money will be extremely helpful.
“We’ll pay bills and be all caught up,” said Davidson. “This just couldn’t be better timing.”
Davidson won on the Cash Extravaganza Scratch-off game.
