Scottsburg and Scott County were among the 80 additional communities recently awarded funds to help address the continuing impact of COVID-19.
Those 80 communities will receive more than $18.6 million in federal grant funding to support mental health services, child care services, public Wi-Fi locations, food bank/pantry services, and grants and loans for small businesses to retain employees.
•Scott County was awarded $250,000 to assist small businesses in Scott County that have been economically impacted by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
•The city of Scottsburg was awarded $250,000 to award grants up to $10,000 to small businesses that have been most severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
