AUSTIN REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given that the Austin Redevelopment Commission (the “Commission”) pursuant to Indiana Code § 36-7-14 et seq., will hold a public hearing to receive public comment and consider the adoption of a Confirmatory Resolution establishing a Residential Housing Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Allocation Area within the City of Austin, Indiana.

The proposed Housing TIF Allocation Area is being established to promote residential development, improve housing options, and support infrastructure investment within the designated area. The boundaries of the proposed allocation area is preliminarily proposed to be located in the vicinity of to the south of York Road and to the West of Railroad Street known as the York Woods Crossing Subdivision. Supporting documentation, including the proposed resolution, maps, and the Amended Economic Development Plan, are available for public inspection at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer of the City of Austin during regular business hours at City Hall.
At the public hearing, the Commission will hear all persons interested in the proceedings and will consider written and verbal comments before taking final action on the Confirmatory Resolution. Following the public hearing, the Commission may adopt the Confirmatory Resolution, thereby formally establishing the Housing TIF Allocation Area.
Interested persons are encouraged to attend and participate.

NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED LEASE OR AMENDMENT TO LEASE
SCOTT COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT 1
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing for the project described below will be held pursuant to Indiana Code 20-47-3-9 before the Board of School Trustees of Scott County School District 1 (the “Board” and the “School Corporation,” respectively) upon a proposed lease or amendment to an existing lease (the “Lease”) on July 21, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., in the Central Office, 255 Hwy 31 South, Austin, Indiana 47102, between the School Corporation and a non-profit school building corporation incorporated under Indiana Code 20-47-3 (the “Building Corporation”). The Lease will permit the construction and equipping of capital improvements in order to maintain the facilities of the School Corporation, including but not limited to roof repairs to the middle/high school, parking lot improvements at all school facilities, new lockers at the middle/high school, outdoor facilities upgrades at all school facilities, elementary school improvements and HVAC improvements at the middle/high schools, and all other related improvements in connection therewith.
The Lease provides for a maximum annual rental with respect to the project of $500,000 with annual rentals under the Lease with respect to the project payable commencing with tax years 2026 and ending no later than 2046.
As additional rental, the School Corporation shall maintain insurance on the leased premises as required in the Lease and shall pay all taxes and assessments against such property, as well as the cost of alterations and repairs. The plans and specifications, including statements of the cost of the project, as well as a copy of the Lease are available for inspection by the public on all business days during business hours, at the Central Office, 255 Hwy 31 South, Austin, Indiana 47102.
At the hearing described herein, all persons interested shall have a right to be heard on the necessity for the execution of the Lease with respect to the project, and upon whether the lease rental provided for therein to be paid to the Building Corporation is a fair and reasonable rental for the proposed project. The hearing may be adjourned to a later date or dates, and following the hearing, the Board may either authorize the execution of the Lease with respect to the project as originally agreed upon or may make modifications thereto as may be agreed upon with the Building Corporation.
