NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Scottsburg, Scott County, Indiana, that the Common Council of the City of Scottsburg will meet at the Scottsburg City Hall, 2 East McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana, at 5:00 p.m. on May 12, 2025, to consider the following additional appropriation in excess of the current budget for the year 2025:

Fund Name: General Fund

Amount: $1,304,356.45

Purpose: For costs and improvements in connection with the relocation of City Hall.

Taxpayers appearing at the hearing shall have the right to be heard. The additional appropriation as finally made will be referred to the Department of Local Government Finance (“DLGF”). The DLGF will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support the appropriation as finally adopted within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a certified copy of the action taken.

Notice of Availability of ADA Self Evaluation and Transition Plan

Notice is hereby given that Scott County is conducting a self-evaluation of County owned facilities for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Title II of the ADA requires that each of the County’s services, programs, and activities be readily accessible and usable by individuals with disabilities.

Copies of the Draft Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan will be available for public review at the following locations during normal business hours between April 24, 2025 and May 8, 2025.
