Notice is hereby given that on June 11, 2024, the Common Council of the City of Austin, Indiana, adopted Ordinance No. 2024-05, “An Ordinance Annexing Contiguous Territory into the City of Austin” (the “Jones Annexation Ordinance”). The property that is subject to the Jones Annexation Ordinance is located generally at 1222 N. U.S. Hwy. 31, Austin, Indiana 47102, being further identified as Parcel No. 72-03-25-320-086.000-002 and consisting of approximately ± 0.53 acres (the “Territory”). The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Water, will hold a public meeting on 7/1/2024 from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm (local time) in the Seymour Library Mediascape Room located at Seymour Library. The purpose of this meeting is to gather testimony on the following water supply contract application: Applicant: Stucker Fork Utilities, 2260 US-31, Scottsburg, IN 47170; Request: Water Supply Contract for Water Supply to Stucker Fork; Reservoir: Hardy Lake Reservoir; Location: 4171 E. Harrod Road Scottsburg, IN 47170.

This public meeting is being held pursuant to the provisions of Indiana Code 14-25-2-2.5 which authorizes the State to contract for the provision of certain minimum quantities of stream flow or to sell water on a unit pricing basis for water supply purposes from the water supply storage in reservoir impoundments that are financed by the State of Indiana. The determination whether to enter a water supply contract is made by the Natural Resources Commission, considering the following factors: 1) Terms, conditions, and purposes of the authorizing legislation; 2) The likelihood of adverse effects to: a. Public Safety; b. The Environment; c. Navigation; d. Recreation. 3) The availability of another source of water to the person making the request. 4) The proximity to the reservoir of any person that would receive water from the person making the request. 5) The water allocation priorities for the use of withdrawn water.

The issues directly related to this request for a water supply contract will be addressed at the meeting. The meeting will include a presentation by the Department describing the nature of the request and the process by which the Commission will determine whether to enter into a contract with Stucker Fork Utilities. An opportunity for public comment on the pending request will be provided. COMES NOW, the Scott County Board of Commissioners, and notices a hearing relative to allegations of unsafe buildings and structures at certain real property located at 3111 S. Big Ox Road Scottsburg, Indiana 47170, pursuant to I.C. 36-7-9 et. seq.:

1. The Scott County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a hearing in this matter for July 23, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. before the Scott County Board of Commissioners based on allegations that certain buildings or structures located on the real property located at 3111 S. Big Ox Road Scottsburg, Indiana 47170 are unsafe and require remediation and/or removal.

2. The record property owner Raleigh Neace is commanded to appear for this hearing address the allegations in a full evidentiary hearing. The hearing will be held July 23, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. at 1 East McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170.

3. A failure to appear at the hearing could result in an Order to demolition and to remove the unsafe buildings or structures. The costs of demolition and removal could be assessed to real property and/or result in a lien or encumbrance against the property.

4. Any notifications from interested parties may be addresses to the Scott County Board of Commissioners at 1 East McClain Avenue, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170.
